Why Healthy Baby Teeth Are Essential
Dr. David Paino and Dr. Barry Rudolph agree with the recommendation of the American Dental Association that says your child should have their first visit when their baby teeth start to appear, but no later than age two.
Many parents wonder why these early visits are necessary when baby teeth will eventually be lost. The fact is that these adorable little teeth have some important work to do:

Your Child's First Visit
Being apprehensive about your child's first visit is understandable. After all, you are introducing them to unfamiliar people in a new environment filled with strange-looking machines. And since it's a new experience for them, a little stress on their part (and maybe yours) is completely normal.
One way we help your child adjust to the new surroundings is by starting with a “Happy Visit.” We encourage you to bring your little one with you during your cleaning appointment. If they’re receptive, we will count their teeth, and the visit ends with a prize from our treasure box. In many cases, even this brief exposure is enough to get them excited about their next visit!
But we can assure you that our doctors are exceptionally patient and easygoing with our youngest patients. We have been practicing at this location for 40 years and have treated many children who are now our adult patients! We believe the trust they place in us as adults speaks volumes about their experiences with us as children!

We are also pleased to offer nitrous oxide for our young patients who have difficulty relaxing. Nitrous oxide gas is mixed with oxygen and expertly administered to your child by one of our trained team members.
We carefully monitor your child during treatment, but nitrous oxide is very safe, even for young children. Our goal is to ensure that your child enjoys the most comfortable and worry-free care possible.
